Hilda Ramos Portrait

Soprano Hilda Ramos has been described by the International press as a "knockout" for both her lyrical and physical beauty. A native of Puerto Rico, she is one of the most recognized singers on the island, making regular appearances on both the opera stage and live television.

Ms. Ramos has performed leading roles in numerous productions including Tosca, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, L'Elisir d'Amore, and Il Barbiere di Siviglia. Her performances have graced stages across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Europe.

Her repertoire spans from classical opera to zarzuela, having created roles in Murderous Instincts and performed in the American premiere of Los Jibaros and Los Jibaros Progresistas in New York. She has collaborated with renowned orchestras including the Puerto Rico Symphony, the Symphony Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, and the Miami Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Ramos is the recipient of the 1999 Award for Excellence in the field of Opera by the Puerto Rican Institute of New York. Beyond her operatic career, she has been the TV host for the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra broadcasts and served as the center judge for Objetivo Fama, the Spanish version of American Idol.
